Internationalisation trip to Hong Kong
Day 1: We kicked off our trip with a milk tea workshop, where we learnt the traditional Hong Kong-style method using a silk stocking and even made egg tarts. The treats turned out delicious and we enjoyed them before dinner.
Day 2: We rode the iconic Ding Ding Tram and enjoyed spectacular views of Hong Kong from the upper deck before taking the Peak Tram to Victoria Peak for sightseeing and shopping. We also visited the Hong Kong Science Museum and Space Museum, where interactive exhibits and an Omnimax show made learning fun. The day ended with a walk along Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade and Avenue of Stars, featuring famous celebrities’ handprints and the iconic Bruce Lee statue.
Day 3: We received a warm welcome at Man Kwan Pak Kau College and toured their school facilities that support STEM/STEAM learning. We also experienced their school culture during recess. Later, we visited the Hong Kong Housing Society Exhibition Centre and the Hong Kong Heritage Museum to learn more about Hong Kong’s housing, culture and history.
Day 4: On our final day, we joined classroom lessons at Man Kwan Pak Kau College and experienced how students in Hong Kong learn English, Science and ICT. The friendly teachers and active students made it a meaningful cultural exchange and a memorable conclusion to our Hong Kong trip.
