GESS SECONDARY 1 (2026) E-REGISTRATION
On behalf of the staff and students of Gan Eng Seng School, we warmly welcome you and your child to the GESS family. Your child is now part of a well-established school with a proud heritage of nurturing Gessians of Excellence, Standing and Significance.
This webpage contains all the key information required for the Secondary 1 (2026) e-Registration. Kindly read the information carefully and follow the instructions outlined below.
(1) Online Information Form
(To be completed by 12pm on 22 December 2025)
The Secondary 1 registration portal is open now and will close at 12.00 p.m on 22 December (Monday)
Parents/Guardians are required to complete the Online Information Form via the link https://go.gov.sg/gesssec1registration2026 to confirm your child’s/ward’s enrolment in Gan Eng Seng School.
Even if you intend to transfer your child/ward to another school subsequently, registration with GESS must still be completed first before proceeding with the transfer process.
The Online Information Form will also help the school to collect essential administrative information, including:

medical conditions (if any);

Parents Gateway (PG) onboarding status; and

attendance at the Meet-the-Parents Session on Friday, 9 January 2026, at 5.00 p.m.
Parents/Guardians may also submit questions through this platform after the e-Registration webinar.

(3) Class Allocation
Details of the Secondary 1 class allocation will be sent to parents/guardians
via Parents Gateway (PG) by 20 December 2025.
For parents/guardians who are not onboard PG, your child’s/ward’s Form Teacher will contact you after the e-Registration webinar.

Students on Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS)
Parents/Guardians are required to collect the FAS Authorisation Letter from
the GESS General Office before collecting books and uniforms.
Please call 6474 5594 to check on the readiness of the
letter prior to your visit.
(5) Offer of More Demanding Level subjects for PG 1 and 2 students
For students in Posting Group 1 or 2 who are offered subject(s) at a more demanding level, a Parents Gateway notification will be sent from 22 December 2025.
Parents/Guardians are to respond via PG by 26 December 2025. If the offer is accepted, please ensure that the correct textbooks corresponding to the subject level are purchased.
For parents/guardians not onboard PG, a hardcopy offer letter will be issued on the first day of school. Completed forms are to be submitted to the Form Teacher by 5 January 2026.
(6) Mother Tongue Languages
A briefing on Mother Tongue Languages will be conducted during the e-Registration webinar by the Head of Department (Mother Tongue Languages). The presentation slides will be uploaded to the school website after the session.

(7) First Day of School Programme
All Secondary 1 students are to report to the Arena (school parade square) by 7.50 a.m. on Friday, 2 January 2026. Students will engage in silent reading while waiting for morning assembly.

(8) Secondary 1 GESS Camp
All Secondary 1 students will participate in the non-residential Secondary 1 GESS Camp, organised by the Student Leaders’ Committee, to ease their transition into secondary school life.

Meals will be provided. Parents/Guardians are reminded to update medical and dietary information in the Online Information Form.

2026 Secondary 1 GESS Camp Programme
(9) CCA Orientation
Date: Friday, 9 January 2026
Time: 1.30 p.m. – 4.30 p.m.
After the CCA Orientation, students will attend the Meet-the-Parents Session at 5.00 p.m. and be dismissed at approximately 6.15 p.m.

(10) GESS Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)
All parents/guardians are automatic members of the GESS PTA. A one-time payment of $24.00 ($6.00 per year) will be collected on 7–8 January 2026. The amount collected will be used to support activities like the supervised self-study and parent education programmes.
Families with older children in GESS are required to pay only for the remaining years of the younger child’s enrolment. For example, if an older sibling is in Secondary 4 in 2026, a payment of $18.00 will be required for the younger child, covering 2027 to 2029.
The school encourages active parental involvement in school. Parents are encouraged to support school-PTA programmes by registering via https://go.gov.sg/gessptaregistration2026. Alternatively, you may scan the QR code below to access the registration form.
(11) Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS)
For parents who have successfully applied for Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) in the child’s primary school or if their child has siblings under FAS in another school, they may come to the GESS General Office with the FAS approval form from their child’s primary or sibling’s schools to collect the authorisation letter for collection of books and school uniform. Do bring along your child’s primary school concession card as well. Please call the school office at 64745594 to check if the letter is ready for collection before you come down to school.
For new FAS applications, parents may refer to the MOE FAS Brochure for more information on the criteria and benefits of the scheme and complete the online FAS Application Form shared below.

Parents may approach the school’s General Office for assistance from Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5 pm.
FAS application will take about 1-2 weeks to process. Do submit all the necessary documents as stated in the application form to avoid delay. Parents will be notified of the outcome via phone call from the school.
(12) Art Elective Programme (AEP) and Music Elective Programme (MEP)

(13) Road Safety
The safety of your child/ward is of utmost importance to us, and it is essential that our students and parents/ guardians observe the rules with regards to road safety.
Please note that all vehicles that are arriving after 6.45 a.m. are required to turn left upon exiting the school’s main gate.
(14) School Smart Card (SSC)
All students entering Secondary 1 will be issued a new Secondary Level SSC. While waiting for their new SSC to be ready, Secondary 1 students can continue to use their Primary Level SSC for concessionary travel till end of April 2026. Secondary 1 students can purchase the Bus Concession Pass (BCP) using their Primary Level SSC but they will need to purchase the BCP for secondary school students.
(15) Photo-taking for Secondary 1 Students
Photo-taking sessions for all Secondary 1 students will be conducted on 22 January and 6 February 2026. Students will be informed of their assigned date by their respective Form Teachers.
The photographs will be used for the students’ report book and
the school system.
Eight (8) passport-sized photographs will be provided at a cost of $5.00,
payable directly to the photographer on the day of photo-taking.
(16) Hardcopy Forms to be issued on the First Day of School
(*only for parents/ guardians not onboard Parents Gateway and for selected students)
Do take note of the following forms which will be issued to your child/ward for follow up on the first day of school:
· Offer Letter for subject(s) at More Demanding Level*
· Offer Letter for Higher Mother Tongue/ Third Language*
Please complete and return the forms to the Form Teachers by 5 January 2026.
(17) Parents Gateway (PG)
Parents Gateway (PG) Mobile App is an initiative by MOE to enable parents to interact with schools more conveniently on administrative and financial matters. Parents will also be able to use this app to stay updated on our school’s programmes and activities.
The PG App has been implemented in Gan Eng Seng School starting from 2018 onwards. If you have two or more children and they are in different schools, you will be able to receive notifications for all your children on the same PG App.
We strongly encourage all parents to download and use the PG App as it will bring significant benefits for you.
SETTING UP THE PARENTS GATEWAY MOBILE APP
