Secondary 1 Learning Festival
Discover how GESS's two-week Learning Festival helps Secondary 1 students explore subjects beyond the classroom through hands-on, real-world activities.
Secondary 1 Learning Festival
The annual GESS Secondary 1 Learning Festival is a key part of our efforts to provide students with a balanced and holistic educational experience. Held over three days, the festival offers Secondary 1 students opportunities to learn beyond the classroom through engaging, real-world and hands-on activities.
The Learning Festival aims to:
bring joy to learning through experiences that extend beyond the academic curriculum;
foster stronger friendships and camaraderie among Secondary 1 students; and
support students’ holistic development through the acquisition of practical skills, such as coding, and an appreciation of cultural elements through dance.
As part of the festival, students participate in a range of interactive learning modules based on their preferences and the availability of places. These modules may include learning journeys and hands-on experiences conducted at external venues, such as Science Centre Singapore.
Through the annual learning festival, students are encouraged to explore new interests, develop practical skills and build meaningful connections with their peers.
